Thanks so much for your supportive and kind comment, Judy. I love doing the writing of short pieces, like blog entries, which I can still manage. The fact that you appreciate them means so much to me. The hopes I have for these pieces is that they will help people start talking about dementia, especially those who have been diagnosed. Sharing with you and others is one of my most important life goals now that some other possibilities have been cut off. Thanks for being there for me.

So wonderful to hear from you, Carrie. I am astonished and delighted with what you say about them and me. I must confess that it is an ego boost to hear such an over the top compliment! Thanks for being there–else my writing them would be just for myself.

Thanks so much for approving of my and Peter’s excess, Corrine. Your complimentary note is such a boost to my shrively ego! LIke you, I so much appreciate beautiful things around me–how lucky I am that “things” and “beauty” are yearnings that are very often fulfilled. YOur amazing photos and other posts count among my aesthetic enjoyments. Bestlove to you.

What a fabulous surprize to hear from you, Susan. I am nostalgic about the days at Gender Studies when you were my office neighbor. I so loved the conversations we got into. I learned so much from you–not only the content, but the width and depth of your thinking. My very best wishes.

I truly enjoy your updates Gerda , you and Peter certainly keep busy. I also love Friday Kahols art. How she coped with all that life dealt her was amazing. Sending love from Iowa❤

How lovely to hear from you, Kathy. I wish my and Peter’s “keeping busy” would take us to your neck of the woods! Just the other day Peter and I were telling friends about our visit to you. I love being sent love from anywhere, but how come you are in Iowa?

I cannot wait to see the new art in person! You know I will love it, right? And love that Peter knew she had to be in your home to send every bad event or anxious moment into her skeletal beautiful arms because, just as Frieda painted her agony not her beauty, SHE can bear the shitty stuff while the beautiful you–brilliant through and through, the woman so many love and admire and always will– is who is my reality. You are and I love you

I can’t do the shitty stuff without you! YOur last line is extentialist and I adore it. Love you existentially!
