My Youtube interview with Michelle Dunton, the Writer-Whisperer
Michelle Dunton produces a Youtube channel called “Writing Fun.” She interviews authors, screenwriters, people who teach writing. When she first e-mailed me to invite me to her channel, I watched some of her previous interviews with writers. I only had to listen to her introduction on the first video to be sold: I want to be on her show! I, too, want to feel as loved as the other guests—some of them household names, others not known to me. I, too, wanted the experience of being deeply valued as not only a writer, but a human being.
Michelle’s interview with Erik Bork, screenwriter, producer, script consultant and blogger best known for his work on the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers.
In addition to owning and producing “Writing Fun,” Michelle and her son Keil Cronauer have a podcast titled “The Son of a Mother,” in which they talk about everything: parenting, current events, movies, books, you name it. Keil is one of her 6 talented children, now adults, whom she had raised as a single mother. She also has a number of grandkids.
When I met Michelle face-to-face on Skype, I felt—after a few sentence exchanges—that we must have been friends in a previous life! Michelle’s gift of making a person feel comfortable—and LOVED—is extraordinary. Thanks for a marvelous conversation, Michelle—the only thing missing was a cup of tea! So happy to know you!
