Do you realize how completely inspiring and relevant you are? Your writing reflects the deep and reflective thinking you have cultivated over a lifetime into an ingrained part of your soul. The connections you continue to make to art and music help me see the world, and to peek into yours, differently. Thank you so much.

My dearest Joan, you ARE my lifelong and forever friend! It’s so wonderful to get these wonderful words from you who have known me since I was literally a child and who new me through our learning years of being parents and our joyful years of have happy, kind, giving adult children and our grandchildren. You have shown me the example of going with grace, love, and faith through the loss of your remarkable Derek, who did love you every day of his life–and beyond. I’m so happy to have your big heart connected to mine with one of those curly cords that can stretch across oceans! I wish you a wonderful Christmas and a new years of ongoing blessings and strength. Love, love, love.

My dearest Riva, thanks so much for your very kind comments. It inspires me so much to hear that people I love and respect as much as you can find something insight-provoking in my writing. You’re so right about Peter–I could not be walking this journey as well as I manage (on my good days!) if it weren’t for him. Thinking of you so much. So good talking to you the other day. I want to talk to you again before this year gets any older–will call asap. Love you and your together-mate and your together-family so very much.
